Bakhtiari rugs are large rugs made by a tribe of that name living to the south of Mahallat, between Hamadan an Isfahan. They are dyed almost exclusively with vegetable colors, and are medium quality. In the poorest quality Tabachi is used a rather dry wool, which is seldom glossy.
